(OTC BB: TKOI), developer of the revolutionary EcoSmart energy management platform featuring Recovery Time™ technology, announced that two Youville Assisted Living Residences in Massachusetts have successfully implemented EcoInsight Basic thermostats.

Health Care represents a new, rapid-growth market for Telkonet, particularly within long-term, residential facilities. EcoSmart technology provides maximum comfort for residents in assisted-living communities like Youville House in Cambridge, MA and Youville Place in Lexington, MA, where all 187 apartments have been equipped with an EcoInsight thermostat for independent temperature control.

To assist residents, Telkonet's intelligent thermostats feature "Auto Mode," which allows the room temperature to be adjusted without selecting "Heat" or "Cool" mode.  Auto Mode drives heat or cooling as necessary to meet the temperature requested, simplifying thermostat operation.  Additionally, all thermostats can be programmed to illuminate the backlight when any button is pressed.

World Energy Solutions, Inc., a Massachusetts-based energy management services firm, and one of Telkonet's corporate partners, selected and implemented the Telkonet hardware for this energy efficiency project. The EcoInsight Basic thermostats are upgradeable thermostats, designed to provide a property with a simple path to more advanced energy management.
